Café Tomar is a cozy coffee spot nestled on Planiger Str. in Bad Kreuznach, offering a slice of Portuguese charm in a compact setting. Its focus on quality coffee and espresso draws in locals who appreciate a well-made cup, whether for a quick morning boost or a mid-afternoon pause. The café’s small size encourages a casual, almost intimate atmosphere, where regulars tend to linger for conversation or a brief escape from daily routines.

Beyond the coffee, Café Tomar stands out for its connection to Portuguese culture. Alongside the drinks, you can find a modest selection of authentic Portuguese groceries and pastries—perfect for those interested in tasting or picking up regional specialties without heading to a larger international market. The limited retail space means the offerings are curated, reflecting local demand and seasonal availability, which adds to the experience of discovery.

The vibe here is quiet but friendly, often supported by the welcoming presence of the owner. Visitors looking for a Mediterranean-style back garden to enjoy their coffee will find this small outdoor space a pleasant retreat when weather permits, offering a bit of sun and fresh air right in town.

People who appreciate specialty coffee with a cultural twist, enjoy casual sandwiches made to order, or want to explore Portuguese cured meats like chorizo will find Café Tomar suits their tastes. Its intimate size means it’s best visited during off-peak hours if you prefer a quieter atmosphere, though the steady flow of familiar faces hints at its role as a daily stopover for many in the neighborhood.

Toller Kaffee und Espresso! Ein kleines Stehkaffee mit portugiesischen Wurzeln. Landesübliche Lebensmittel lassen sich hier ebenfalls einkaufen.

Excellent coffee and tasty pasteries which one can enjoy in a tiny Mediterranean Style Back Garden! Felicidades! They also make great fresh sandwiches on order and right in front of you which is just great and sell a good variety of chorizo sausages! Yummy!!

Wonderful place :). Der Kaffee ist lecker and the Pasteis de Nata always great. The woman who runs the place is just the sweetest person. We came here 5 times during a trip here!

Kleiner Laden mit Spezialitäten aus Portugal. Unbedingt eine Kaffeespezialität probieren und ein Stück mit Pudding gefüllten Blätterteig genießen.
